The Bouroullec brothers installed the four rotating structures in a courtyard during Milan design week 2013, for BMW's electric car brand BMW i. The project aimed to provide a quiet and relaxing environment for visitors, similar to driving a quiet electric car. Blue strips of fabric circled the carousels and the platforms were covered in leather, referencing materials used in car design. Aim lamps also designed by the duo hung from the ceilings and shone through the fabric, creating patterns when it was dark. The installation was on show at the Facoltà Teologica dell’Italia Settentrionale in Milan.
