GODDESS

A film for Taiwanese fashion designer Shao Yen’s latest collection. With inspirations from the elegant, mysterious, and powerful goddesses from the East and West, Shao Yen replaces the soft lines of drapes and pleats that often associate with the classic image of goddess with the cording technique and transforms these soft lines into more graphic, relief-like contours. Carefully blended with Swarovski crystals and voluminous fur.

The film and the AW11 collection pieces are on display in the Fashionista exhibition at Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei. The film is installed with a shallow pool of water to best present the reflective qualities of crystals. From 16 Sept to 13 Nov 2011.
