BRANCA

Branca, something of how they are made.

A short film about the creation of the Branca chair, winner in the furniture category at the Brit Insurance Designs Of The Year Awards 2011. The wooden chair is a design by Sam Hecht of Industrial Facility for Italian brand Mattiazzi. Branca is inspired by wooden branches that turn, twist, meet and branch off. It is made by highly sophisticated robots and hand, using processes that combine the craftsman and the machine.
